Kimberly Summer

Kimberly Summer is a Melbourne based Director/Producer, with a focus on telling stories around experiences of racial and socio-economic challenges to help build stronger, more visible and diverse communities.

After ten years of commercial Film and TV production experience, she co-founded Mills & Boom – an independent content agency. She now produces content work with community organisations (L2R, YSAS, and Miromma); government agencies and large brands (Virgin Australia Fashion Festival, Fremantle Australia).

Kim’s latest factual works are ‘Born to Stand Out’ (production stage) – a feature documentary presenting young African Australians as positive, expressive people to challenge our current widespread, white discourse, and, ‘WizDom’ – a short form piece following a 50-year-old divorced, ex-country rock frontman who finds himself after a breakdown through Jamaican dance.
